About the role:
The Glass Cutter will play a pivotal role in producing quality flat glass products to specification. This position offers an opportunity to influence production processes while ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce quality flat glass products to specification.
* Ensure glass thickness and type are correct.
* Ensure glass adheres to quality standards and is free from faults prior to processing.
* Cut glass using machines or hand cutting, as required, in accordance with customer specifications.
* Measure and mark glass prior to processing, and conduct final measures before stacking.
* Smooth edges using hand and belt wipe where required.
* Operate various production machinery to cut, treat, and smooth glass.
* Maintain an organised, clean, and safe working environment.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in glass cutting and processing 17mm thick.
* Ability to cut different shapes.
* Strong capability in operating LISEG machines.
