Position Overview
Environment Health and Safety Specialist based in Brisbane. The role reports to the EHS Operations Manager and is responsible for supporting BDA's EHS Management System and delivering EHS guidance to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement and administer/maintain BDA's EHSMS Management System at a program level.
* Deliver EHS system general guidance to a range of program or other stakeholders.
* Maintain and analyse records, schedules, and provide reports on compliance performance to the program/internal customers.
* Support the program/internal customers on EHS processes, system tools and requirements.
Essential Qualifications
* Formal qualifications in Work Health and Safety, occupational hygiene, or science, or equivalent experience in a related role.
* A sound understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation.
* A sound understanding of risk management.
* Three years of experience in a similar role or experience in health and safety practices.
* Sound understanding of Work Health and Safety principles and practices.
* Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements and be able to obtain security clearances.
