About the Opportunity
As a seasoned lawyer, you will work closely with major domestic banks, foreign ADIs, non-bank lenders, fintech credit providers, and large corporates across a diverse range of commercial and business lending matters. This role offers real influence; you'll lead major transactions, mentor junior lawyers, and help shape national client and practice strategy.
About the Role
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a broad range of commercial and business lending matters, including bilateral and syndicated loans, commercial property and project finance, cashflow and working capital facilities, asset and equipment finance, and SME lending structures.
* Provide expert advice on issues relevant to commercial lenders, including PPSA, AML/CTF obligations, NCCP exemptions, and broader regulatory considerations affecting business credit.
* Act as a key point of contact for major financial services clients, offering pragmatic, commercial guidance.
* Mentor, supervise, and support the development of junior lawyers within the team.
* Contribute to business development initiatives, client training, thought leadership, and national practice growth.
