Responsibilities
- Oversee the safe and efficient daily operation of the asphalt plant.
- Manage production schedules to meet client and project requirements.
- Work closely with the laboratory team to ensure all asphalt mixes meet specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct plant inspections and coordinate routine maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
- Supervise and support a small team of operators and loaders, ensuring compliance with all safety and OHS requirements.
- Coordinate raw material deliveries and asphalt dispatch, working closely with transport and project managers.
- Maintain accurate reporting and documentation through digital systems.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in asphalt production or heavy plant operations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and support a team.
- Mechanically minded, with the ability to diagnose and fix issues on the fly.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project demands.
