Overview:
Oriental Agriculture Pty Ltd, a leading agricultural enterprise based in Goodar, QLD, is seeking a farm hand for our farms located 20km Northwest of Goondiwindi. Our Farm Hands play a vital role in the daily operation of our farm, contributing to both crop cultivation and livestock management. This hands-on busy position requires a strong work ethic, adaptability, and a passion for agriculture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops
* Operate irrigation systems, including laterals, pivots, and pumps
* Operate farm machinery and equipment safely, including tractors, harvesters, and equipment used in cattle management
* Maintain farm infrastructure and equipment, conducting minor repairs as needed.
* Implement pest and weed control measures for both crop fields and grazing areas.
* Perform routine care for cattle livestock, including feeding, watering, and monitoring health
Qualifications:
* Previous experience working on a farm is highly regarded
* Willingness to perform a variety of tasks in all weather conditions
* Strong mechanical skills and the ability to operate farm machinery safely
* A valid driver's license is required
