About the company/role:
Our client is a provider of specialised laboratory testing equipment specific for the petrochemical industry. They are currently seeking a Product Sales Specialist to join their dynamic team based on the Central Coast. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in petroleum analytical testing who is ready to transition into a technical sales role. The position offers a blend of office and field work, with travel required 1–2 days per week. You'll report directly to the General Manager and play a key role in driving sales and building client relationships.
Duties:
* Drive sales of petroleum testing equipment and services to new and existing clients
* Identify and develop new business opportunities within the downstream fuels and oil condition monitoring sectors
* Manage customer accounts and build long-term client relationships
* Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations and consultations
* Visit client sites 1-2 days per week and travel interstate for conferences and meetings
* Research industry trends, competitor activity and compliance with ASTM and ISO standards
* Use Salesforce CRM to track sales performance, data and customer feedback to provide reports
* Work closely with the technical team to ensure tailored product recommendations for customers
Skills/experience:
* Bachelors degree/ Diploma/ Trade qualification in Chemistry, Engineering or a related discipline
* Proven experience with analytical testing of petroleum/ fuels is essential
* Experience in instrumentation sales is highly desirable
* Familiarity with ASTM and ISO standards is beneficial for the role
* Proficiency in Salesforce or a related CRM
* Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
* Technical individual with an entrepreneurial aptitude
* Eagerness to travel domestically and interstate as required
