Our client is looking for a skilled and motivated Production & Warehouse Manager to lead operations at their Stapylton facility.
This position will commence on a casual ongoing basis - with clear track to progress into a permanent full-time position for the right person.
Expected hours are 6:00am to 3:00pm, with the potential for overtime as required.
About the Role
Our client is a leading Australian supplier of crop protection and plant nutrition solutions.
The Stapylton site specifically specialises in the production and distribution of high-quality fertiliser and infill for artificial turf.
This role is ideal for a hands-on manager with strong operational leadership experience and a commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement of the production process.
Key Duties
* Plan, organize and direct production to maintain on-time order fulfilment, maintain customer satisfaction and achieve key output targets.
* Overseeing the logistics required beyond the initial production process to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders.
* Daily review and observance of safety and compliance measures.
* Planning and assigning of daily duties to the relevant team members to ensure the correct allocation of available resources.
* Maintain cohesion and communications between the production and warehouse teams to maintain on-time order fulfillment.
* Execution of quality control measures to maintain expected product standards.
* Direct communication with customers to ensure that customer satisfaction standards are maintained.
* Regular discussion and reporting directly with the QLD state manager.
* Work closely with external maintenance contractors to minimise downtime on required regular maintenance.
* Ensure adequate levels and timely ordering of raw materials to prevent delays in the production.
* Use of inventory/ERP systems and Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word etc.)
*What We're Looking For*
* Proven experience managing production and warehouse operations in tandem.
* Proven experience managing production and warehouse operations
* Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
* Proficiency with ERP/inventory systems and Microsoft Office
* Tertiary qualifications relating to WHS, mechanical engineering or warehousing processes highly desirable.
* A desire to learn and grow within the company long-term.
