Our organization is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our Finance team. This role will be part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, responsible for managing vendor contracts and developing strategic procurement plans.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage capital and inventory contracts to ensure delivery across cost, quality, risk, safety, and environmental outcomes.
2. Build strong relationships with suppliers to support major projects and optimize inventory.
3. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through process improvements and best practices.
4. Drive contract and vendor performance through benchmarking and process improvements.
5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement initiatives with project requirements.
6. Support improvement initiatives by applying project management methodologies.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or contract management.
* Strong commercial and analytical skills with a focus on value creation.
* Experience with capital procurement processes and vendor negotiations.
* Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems such as SAP.
