We are seeking a Control Engineer to join our Project Development team. This role is responsible for the design, implementation and commissioning of control, instrumentation and automation systems to support mining and processing projects.
Working closely with electrical, mechanical and process engineering teams, the Control Engineer will play a key role in ensuring plant systems operate safely, efficiently and reliably. This position will be involved in all stages of project delivery, including design, programming, installation, commissioning and handover to operations.

What you will be doing:
* Develop control philosophies, functional descriptions and instrumentation specifications for new and existing projects
* Design and configure PLC, DCS and SCADA systems, including control logic, HMI screens, alarms and reporting functions
* Prepare control panel layouts, network architecture and loop diagrams in accordance with Australian Standards and project requirements
* Select, install and commission field instrumentation including pressure, flow, level and temperature devices
* Support integration of control systems with electrical, mechanical and third-party equipment
* Participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), loop checks and commissioning activities
* Troubleshoot control, instrumentation and automation issues during installation and startup
* Maintain accurate documentation including drawings, manuals, backups and system configurations
* Assist with development of commissioning procedures and support handover to operations and maintenance teams
* Work collaboratively with engineers, contractors and site personnel to deliver projects safely and on schedule
What we are looking for:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation or related Engineering discipline
* Minimum 5 years' experience in control system engineering within mining, minerals processing or heavy industry
* Experience with PLC and DCS platforms (such as Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider or similar)
* Experience with SCADA systems (Ignition, WinCC, Citect or similar)
* Strong understanding of field instrumentation, control valves, motor control and industrial networks
* Ability to interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams and electrical schematics
* Knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus or Ethernet/IP
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work across multi-disciplinary project teams
* Sound understanding of safety, quality and statutory requirements within a mining or processing environment
* Current C Class Driver's Licence and Construction White Card
