As the Assistant Team Leader you'll work within our global technology team, Enterprise Technology Services (ETS), combining hands on project management delivery with team leadership, driving end to end technology initiatives while helping to shape a high-performing project management function.

This role offers the opportunity to lead impactful projects across our business pillar and play a key part in delivering an exceptional employee technology experience. Managing projects from initiation to completion while also supporting the development, coordination, and performance of the project management team.

Day in the life

* Lead assigned projects through all phases of the project lifecycle
* Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations
* Monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage expectations
* Ensure compliance with organisational standards, policies, and procedures
* Prepare project documentation, reports, and post-project evaluations
* Lead, mentor, and support a team of project managers and coordinators
* Mentor, develop and coach team members to enhance skills and performance
* Facilitate team meetings, stand‐ups, and collaborative planning sessions
* Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
* Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members
* Conduct project QA/Audit/Governance reviews and provide constructive feedback
* Resolve team conflicts and foster a positive, inclusive work environment

Qualifications

* 5+ years proven experience in leading projects in a complex, multi‐stakeholder environment
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and practical application
* 3+ Leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills
* Experience working in alignment with PMOs or enterprise governance functions
* Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM, SAFe, or equivalent)
