Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager
Location: Sydney (NSW)
Key Responsibilities
* Lead multi‐cultural sourcing teams to achieve goals as set by specific project charters and/or as set by the business.
* Establish regional SubK sourcing strategy that ensures a cost competitive position for Honeywell compared to the market, and help the business win new opportunities.
* Develop SubK Partnership program in order to create a strong pool of reliable subcontractors and partners that can enable Honeywell wins.
* Drive sourcing transformation and implementation of digital tools (SubK Should Cost, eRFQ/eAuction, Bid Levelling, etc).
* Optimize Pacific sourcing organization structure to enable business growth.
* Secure products/services at the most competitive price in the market.
* Ensure the teams identify and manage risks/opportunities.
* Ensure all quality, delivery, and pricing objectives are being met.
* Act as key escalation point to resolve roadblocks to the execution of the projects sourcing‐wise, as per plan.
* Deliver business results including pre‐award savings, productivity, win‐rate, working capital improvement, supplier performance (quality and delivery) and continuity of supply.
* Provide long‐and short‐term strategic sourcing plans consistent with and supportive of company goals and objectives.
* Select and manage suppliers who have the capacity and capability to meet the needs of the business.
* Identify leading practices from inside and outside of Honeywell for implementation/adoption of the regional sourcing processes and strategies.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal customers, i.e. Operations, P&E, Sales, as well as with key external subcontractors and suppliers.
Key Experience & Capabilities
* Bachelor's Degree or University diploma – technical degree preferred. Masters degree preferred.
* 8‐10 years business Experience preferred, including 3‐5 years in a relevant sourcing leadership related capacity (i.e. strategic sourcing).
* Proven experience in subcontractor negotiations, comprehensive understanding of commercial terms and conditions related to procurement of goods and services, and supply contracts.
* Experience in project business related procurement, e.g. construction business, plant construction, etc.
* Experience with SAP, or similar procurement systems preferred.
* Strong communication skills – verbal and written, ability to communicate effectively to varied audiences (cross‐cultural).
* Strong leadership skills.
* Proven track record that includes working collaboratively with supply teams and Proposal and Estimation/Engineering/Operations/Technical individuals regarding management of statement of work requirements and subcontractor deliverables.
* Self‐motivated, able to perform role with minimal supervision, taking ownership and demonstrate sense of urgency.
