Electrical Systems Engineer Position
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer with expertise in electrical systems to support our mission in Alice Springs, AU.
This position requires active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph or the ability to obtain one. We conduct end-to-end project management and facility engineering functions for locations worldwide.
Responsibilities:
* Act as the facilities liaison, reporting to and coordinating with USG representatives at all organizational levels;
* Oversee the Site O&M support contractor and A/E during project execution to ensure that customer requirements are accomplished on time, to the specified quality, and within budget;
* Review and provide comments on project proposals;
* Plan, monitor, coordinate, and execute complex electrical tasks;
* Develop and manage electrical project plans, conduct design reviews, and coordinate project approvals;
* Develop status reports, project schedules, and cost estimates;
* Supervise, plan, and actively participate in Factory Acceptance Testing;
* Participate in root cause analysis following an electrical anomaly.
Requirements:
* Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly or the ability to obtain one;
* A minimum of 10 years of experience with facility operations, specifically with electrical systems;
* A bachelor's degree in an engineering or architectural field;
* Basic knowledge and understanding of the government organization and method of conducting business;
* Knowledge of facility operations & maintenance activities and procedures;
* Experience related to low and medium voltage power distribution systems in commercial and/or industrial facilities;
* Ability to estimate and produce a rough order of magnitude (ROM) cost estimates for facility project planning and programming;
* Ability to manage multiple and competing resources;
* Demonstrated project management skills associated with managing performance, budget, and schedules;
* Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to team with industry partners.
Desired Qualifications:
* Master's degree in an engineering or architectural field;
* Understanding of ICS/SCADA systems and electronic controls, energy monitoring and control systems (EMCS);
* Understanding of quality management principles to include quality assurance and quality control;
* Knowledge of federal, state and local building and safety codes.
