Your New Role and Responsibilities
This role will see you take on and steer a well‐established Defence account as part of the account leadership team. The Business Development Manager will support the Account Executive, maintain a strong understanding of relevant capability areas, and focus on Aviation within the Government sector, including Defence.
* Identify, qualify and capture new business opportunities for Leidos.
* Execute the company's business capture management processes.
* Coordinate customer relationships critical to new business development, including partnership development.
* Establish and maintain enduring, inclusive relationships and communication with key Government stakeholders (e.g., Capability Sponsors, Defence Service Headquarters).
* Contribute to Request for Tender responses.
* Provide input into current and long‐range business strategies to enhance the company's position in Australia.

* Confident communicator; orally and in written form to individuals and large groups.
* Proven ability to create and maintain internal and external professional networks.
* Skilled in managing and assimilating information for varied audiences in many formats.
* Ability to learn, collaborate, and network with senior stakeholders and enjoy engaging with people.
* Understanding of Government Aviation (ideally) / Civil Aviation Sector in Australia.
* Understanding of Defence, including capability sponsors and acquisition agencies.
* Strong network within the Government Aviation Sector, including Defence, is essential.
Requirements
Successful applicants must be an Australian Citizen who holds or is willing to obtain an NV‐1 security clearance.
