 
        
        We're looking for a part-time/casual Catering Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. If you enjoy working with food, making a difference in people's lives, and being part of a close-knit team, this role could be perfect for you. You'll help prepare and serve meals for our residents, ensuring their dietary needs are met, all while having flexible working hours.
What We're Looking For
We need someone who:
 * Has full work rights in Australia (essential)
 * Holds a current DHS NDIS Worker Screening Check (essential)
 * Has experience in aged care or hospitality, or is willing to learn
 * Holds a Certificate II in Hospitality (or similar), or is ready to get one
 * Communicates well and works effectively in a team
 * Is passionate about providing great care and service
We also encourage those starting a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery to apply, as this is a great opportunity to start your career
About Us
UnitingSA operates five aged care facilities in West Lakes, Seaton, Hawksbury Gardens, Wesley House, and Westminster Village. A Day in the Life of a Catering Assistant
 * Start the day by meeting the team and discussing the menu and any special dietary needs
 * Help prepare and serve meals, ensuring the residents get what they need, considering allergies, preferences, and cultural or religious requirements
 * Work with the Chef Manager, Chef, and Cook to plan tasty and healthy meals
 * Assist in managing food orders and ensure everything is delivered on time and within budget
 * Keep the kitchen clean and safe for everyone
 * Serve meals with a smile, ensuring residents enjoy their food and feel comfortable
 * Share ideas and feedback to improve our catering and resident care
