Mobile Technician Position

Main Responsibilities:
The mobile technician is accountable for providing top-notch support to our CTS workshops and customers through effective vehicle maintenance and compliance within workshop facilities or customer sites. This role involves conducting repairs, maintenance, and services as required while ensuring all relevant paperwork and Fleet management system entries are completed accurately and timely.
* Conduct ministry inspections, LOLERs, MOTs, body inspections, and services in line with customer O' license and legal requirements.
* Attend breakdowns within and outside regular working hours.
* Fully utilize the fleet management system (Fleetwave) as necessary.
* Complete compliance paperwork and adhere to company procedures, ensuring parts are ordered, recharges identified, and warranty repairs resolved efficiently and according to escalation processes.
* Perform quality inspections on the fleet being hired and maintained via third-party providers, creating reports on fleet condition, validating external maintenance quality, and verifying operator adherence to requirements.
* Maintain SFS Health and Safety policies and customer-specific H&S rules at all times.
* Evaluate equipment safety and ensure its proper usage by staff, reporting any operational failures to the workshop controller.
* Verify that no vehicle is returned to customers unless safe for use.
* Establish and maintain professional relationships with SFS staff, customers, and suppliers.
* Possess flexibility to provide adequate coverage for workshops and customer needs.
* Assist with other reasonable duties as needed.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must possess a clean HGV driving license category C minimum. A minimum of 5 years' technical experience on municipal vehicles is required, preferably within a workshop environment. Essential skills and qualifications include:
* Technical expertise on vehicle electrical systems, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
* Evidence of recognized time-served apprenticeship scheme, VOSA vehicle inspection course, and municipal vehicle manufacturing training.
* Understanding of Health & Safety rules and regulations.
* Ability to adapt to and manage varied workloads.
* An ability to work independently.
* Knowledge of Fleetwave fleet management system.
* IT skills with proficiency in MS Office systems.
* Organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines.
