Full time, fixed term until 30 September 2026, located at Broken Hill, NSW Step into a role where your organisational skills directly support the education of tomorrow’s rural health workforce Base Salary $ $89,755 17% superannuation About the opportunity The Broken Hill University Department of Rural Health (BHUDRH), part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health, is committed to improving health outcomes in rural and remote communities through education, research, and strong local partnerships. Based in Broken Hill, the BHUDRH plays a vital role in supporting clinical education and training for students across multiple health disciplines. Working closely with NSW Health, partner universities, and local stakeholders, the BHUDRH contributes to building a sustainable rural health workforce and enhancing healthcare delivery across Far West New South Wales. This is a dynamic and community-connected environment where the Executive Assistant provides essential support to the Head of School and executive team, helping to coordinate operations, facilitate stakeholder engagement, and ensure the smooth running of key activities across the School. Key Responsibilities: provide high-level administrative support to the Head of School and executive team, including diary and email management, meeting coordination, and agenda preparation support the organisation of school events, visits, and external stakeholder engagements assist with travel and accommodation arrangements, purchasing requests, and University systems processes collaborate with campus support officers and staff to manage accommodation, logistics, and student placement agreements conduct ad hoc research, document preparation, and coordination of project-related tasks as required act as a central point of contact for internal and external inquiries, maintaining professionalism and discretion at all times About You You are a highly organised, proactive, and adaptable Executive Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You bring a solutions-focused approach, anticipate needs, and manage competing priorities with professionalism and discretion. You will also demonstrate: proven experience providing high-level administrative or executive support, ideally in a tertiary, health, or complex organisational setting exceptional organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills strong attention to detail, resilience, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to engage professionally with a wide range of stakeholders advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and confidence across multiple systems and platforms flexibility, responsiveness, and a collaborative team-oriented mindset, with a willingness to support broader team activities as needed Please note that this role is full time based in the office.
