Job Responsibilities
* Manage inventory accounting processes to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant standards.
* Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
* Monitor inventory balances and resolve discrepancies across systems and locations.
* Provide financial analysis on inventory movements, cost of goods sold (COGS), and stock variances.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate and timely inventory data.
* Prepare inventory reports and insights for internal stakeholders and external auditors.
* Support inventory controls, including stock takes and cycle counts.
* Contribute to budgeting and forecasting of inventory-related costs.
* Identify and implement improvements in inventory accounting and reporting processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
* CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent).
* Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in financial reporting and compliance.
* Proficiency in using SAP and MS Excel.
* Experience within the retail industry or a similar fast-paced environment.
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
* Strong communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
