The Opportunity
Melbourne BMW is one of the flagship BMW dealerships in Australia, located in a prime metropolitan location and representing one of the most dynamic automotive brands in the world. We are seeking an experienced and high-performing automotive sales leader to take on the role of General Sales Manager. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving new and pre‐owned vehicle sales performance, leading a high-performing team and delivering commercial outcomes within a fast‐paced prestige retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all new and pre‐owned BMW sales operations
* Drive revenue growth, gross profit and market share performance
* Lead, develop and mentor a team of Sales Executives and Sales Managers
* Build and maintain strong relationships with BMW Australia
* Deliver an exceptional premium customer experience aligned to the BMW brand
* Manage inventory strategy, order banks and vehicle allocation
* Drive performance through data, CRM discipline and pipeline management
* Contribute to dealership budgeting, forecasting and financial performance
* Represent the brand at customer, community and brand events
About You
We are looking for a proven automotive sales leader with experience in prestige or volume automotive environments.
You will demonstrate:
* Significant experience as a General Sales Manager or senior sales leader within an luxury automotive dealership
* A strong track record of delivering sales growth and gross performance
* Deep understanding of customer relationship management and pipeline discipline
* Commercial acumen and ability to operate within structured reporting environments
* Strong leadership capability with the ability to coach and elevate sales teams
* The credibility and professionalism required to represent a globally recognised premium brand
* A performance‐driven mindset with strong accountability
* Experience within BMW, prestige or luxury automotive brands will be highly regarded.
