Responsibilities
Underground Fitters ensure all mobile and fixed mechanical equipment on site is maintained to the approved safety standards and mechanical availability/reliability is optimised. Cost control is required without compromising the life of major components of mobile and fixed equipment. Accurate records are essential to identify any ongoing problems and to ensure compliance with all Mine Safety and Inspection Regulations.
Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years' underground mining experience.
* Capable of operating all mobile equipment for maintenance purposes.
* Knowledge and application of safe and reliable mechanical maintenance practices to maximise equipment availability and productivity.
* Driver's License
* Mechanical Trade certificate.
