The Role
As a Senior Interior Designer, you will help lead workplace design projects from concept through to construction. You will work closely with clients, contribute to winning new work, and ensure each design solution aligns with strategy, culture, and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Design Leadership & Project Delivery
- Lead or support workplace design projects from concept, design development, documentation, and into construction.
- Produce concept design, test fits, space plans, material palettes, mood boards, and presentation packages.
- Develop conceptual drawings using SketchUp (Revit/AutoCAD as needed).
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and coordinated documentation sets for pricing, authority submissions, and construction.
- Ensure all outcomes maintain design integrity and align with project vision.
Client Engagement
- Liaise directly with clients to understand briefs, cultural drivers, functional needs, and project objectives.
- Present design ideas clearly and confidently at all project stages.
- Provide strategic and creative advice to guide client decision-making.
Site & Technical Coordination
- Coordinate with consultants, engineers, contractors, surveyors, and suppliers.
- Attend site meetings, conduct inspections, review samples, and manage defect lists.
- Support project completion and final handover.
Business Development
- Contribute to design presentations and pitch opportunities for new business.
- Bring insight into emerging workplace trends, materials, technology, and design thinking.
Team & Culture
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative studio environment.
- Actively share knowledge, ideas, and inspiration to elevate design quality.

Skills & Experience
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in commercial interior design, ideally workplace.
- Strong conceptual design capability and proven skills in SketchUp (Revit/AutoCAD beneficial). InDesign is a must.
- Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills.
- Strong time management and the ability to work across multiple projects.
- Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach.
- Passion for design, innovation, and delivering high-quality environments.
Job Types: Full time, Permanent
Pay: $75,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Darlinghurst NSW 2010
