Project Manager

A senior-level project manager position responsible for overseeing the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a construction project.


Key Responsibilities

* Maintain a healthy safety culture and ensure compliance with company safety policy.
* Oversee and monitor each stage of the project to ensure it meets or exceeds financial objectives.
* Coordinate daily/weekly meetings with area superintendents and project engineers to develop means and methods, schedule contracting needs, and manage long lead delivery times.
* Manage all field operations and work sequences in conjunction with the Project Executive.
* Review and approve project estimates, job cost updates, and cash flow projections, as well as negotiate change orders.
* Anticipate project needs and establish work plans and staffing requirements.
* Form and lead an effective project management team, define and delegate management responsibilities, and set goals.
* Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
* Ensure project superintendents understand and execute the work as required.
* Ensure safety, quality, and production are maintained.
* Responsible for project closeout, securing loose ends by finishing paperwork, obtaining retainages, supporting supervisors, and expediting claims.


Requirements

* 10+ years' experience in managing construction projects, specifically working in Infrastructure, Bridges, Docks, and Marine.
* Undergraduate degree in construction engineering, construction management, or a related field.
* Ability to travel and relocate as needed.
* Strong work ethic, ability to work independently, and part of a team.
* Good attention to detail and effective oral and written communication skills.


Working Conditions

The Project Manager will work at various locations, with varying conditions. Regular attendance and timely completion of work is expected. The position requires strong organization and time management skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
