Job Overview
The Independent Institute of Education (IIE) Rosebank College is looking for a full‐time Lecturer to teach the Bachelor of Education (Intermediate Phase) with a focus on Mathematics. The role is based at the Pretoria campus in Gauteng.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver lectures and facilitate student‐support workshops for Intermediate Phase Mathematics.
* Provide subject‐specific tutorials and mark assessments according to the timetable.
* Assist the Academic Development Co‐ordinator and contract lecturers in raising teaching and learning standards.
* Collaborate with librarians on information‐literacy sessions for students and staff.
* Coordinate lecturer forums and faculty meetings under the direction of Academic Development Consultants.
* Engage in research and development activities related to the discipline.
* Contribute to team support and departmental initiatives.
Requirements
* At least 3 years of school teaching experience in the Intermediate Phase.
* Ideally 1–3 years of lecturing experience at a tertiary institution.
* Good knowledge of South African higher‐education regulations and teaching‐learning theory.
* Ability to provide student support services and work with digital academic platforms.
* Strong time‐management, deadline orientation and ability to work under pressure.
* Open to South African citizens; preference will be given to EE and SA candidates.
