About the role
As a Fisheries Administration Officer, you will be at the heart of our dynamic team, tackling challenges with precision and contributing to the seamless operation of our marine park management efforts. Your strong organizational and multitasking skills will be key as you navigate through competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure timely and accurate completion of routine financial transactions and purchasing to meet operational standards.
2. Serve as a primary point of contact, addressing and redirecting inquiries for resolution.
3. Adhere to agency administrative systems and processes, ensuring accurate information storage and accessibility.
4. Execute precise and consistent tasks in a high-volume setting with conflicting priorities and tight deadlines.
About You
We are looking for someone who is willing, motivated and possesses meticulous attention to detail. A background in administrative support, coupled with financial management experience, would be advantageous. We are looking for someone who takes pride in finding solutions, resolving issues, and providing valuable assistance to our clients, stakeholders, and colleagues. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must have:
5. Knowledge, respect, and understanding of Aboriginal cultural values and issues of the Batemans Marine Park.
6. Strong organisation skills with an ability to communicate positively with a diverse group of stakeholders and Traditional Owners that includes persons from all the Aboriginal representative groups of the area.
7. Ability to adapt and be flexible to accommodate changing priorities.
8. A willingness to undertake training and a capacity to learn administrative skills as required.
9. This is an Identified Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander Position. Applicants for this position must be of Aboriginal descent through parentage, identify as being Aboriginal, and be accepted in the community as such.
