About the role
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from Ecologists for full-time roles in either our Toowoomba or Brisbane offices. We want to hear from early career professionals through to more experienced professionals seeking a senior role.
We understand the importance of a healthy work-life balance, which is why this role will include local (and occasionally remote) field surveys and time spent in the office.
We are looking for individuals with a positive professional growth mindset that want to continue their career development as a well-rounded Ecologist. The team at Range Environmental will support this growth through professional training and exposure to a variety of projects that help develop skills in the field, and in the application of regulatory frameworks to achieve client objectives in a manner that also best protects the environment.
The role will be best suited to applicants that:
1. Can undertake field surveys (flora and fauna surveys, vegetation community assessments, threatened species surveys) and prepare reports with scientific and evidence-based recommendations.
2. Has a keen interest in understanding and applying Local, State and Federal regulatory frameworks.
3. Can deliver a project through from quoting, fieldwork and reporting.
4. Can foster existing client relationships, establish new clients and strengthen these relationships with great service.
Skills and experience
The successful applicant will require the following:
* A degree in environmental science, zoology, botany, science, natural resources or a related discipline.
* Demonstrated technical skills and experience commensurate with the role.
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to liaise with clients, regulators, staff, contractors and sub consultants.
* Excellent written communication skills, a high level of attention to detail and strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
* Be able to work as part of a team and contribute ideas and innovative approaches to project challenges.
* A current Australian driver's licence is mandatory.
