MARS are proudly partnering with a purpose-driven organisation operating across NSW, that's seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to take ownership of a safety-critical vehicle fleet supporting a geographically dispersed workforce. This is a hands-on, standalone role, suited to someone who thrives in regulated environments and brings a strong focus on safety, compliance and cost management.

The Opportunity
Reporting into the Head of Finance, the Fleet Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the organisation's fleet of >100 vehicles, ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant, fit-for-purpose and available to support day-to-day operations.
The role carries a strong risk and governance lens, while also owning the commercial and financial performance of the fleet and managing key external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day fleet operations to ensure vehicle availability, safety and compliance
* Ensure adherence to WHS obligations, road regulations and internal fleet policies
* Oversee vehicle incidents, accidents, insurance claims and investigations
* Own fleet budgets, including operating and capital expenditure
* Analyse total cost of ownership and identify cost optimisation opportunities
* Manage relationships with leasing, maintenance, fuel and insurance providers
* Develop and implement fleet strategy, including replacement and lifecycle planning
* Support sustainability initiatives, including low-emission and EV transition planning
* Partner with internal stakeholders across operations, safety, finance and procurement
* Provide clear reporting and insights to senior stakeholders
About You
* 6+ years of experience managing a vehicle fleet within a medium to large organisation
* Strong understanding of WHS, compliance and risk management in operational environments
* Commercially astute with experience managing budgets and supplier contracts
* Confident stakeholder manager able to work with operational and corporate teams
* Comfortable working with fleet management systems and reporting tools (Catch-e is beneficial)
* Experience in government, utilities, infrastructure, resources, healthcare or similar sectors highly regarded
