About the role Manage a diverse portfolio of commercial law matters for a well-established client base. Provide trusted legal advice, lead matters from inception to completion, and play an active role in the continued growth of a highly regarded Melbourne practice. This role presents an outstanding opportunity for a lawyer (3 years PAE) with expertise in commercial law, wills and estate planning, or a combination of both. Duties In this role, you will: Advise on complex commercial matters, including the purchase and sale of businesses, commercial contracts, business structuring, employment law issues, franchising arrangements, and general corporate law matters. Draft, review, and manage Wills, estate plans, and related documentation, including estate administration, testamentary trusts, and assistance with probate and administration matters (where relevant). Deliver exceptional client service through the provision of technically sound, practical, and efficient legal advice. Contribute to the growth, development, and ongoing success of the practice. Prepare, review, and manage a broad range of legal documentation. Negotiate and liaise effectively with clients, counterparties, and other professionals. Support, supervise, and mentor junior or less experienced staff. Skills & experience Ideally, you will have: 3 years PAE in wide ranging commercial law matters, Wills & Estates, or a mix of both. Proven ability to manage files independently and deliver practical advice. Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills. Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing with clients at all levels. A collaborative mindset, able to work effectively in a team and support junior colleagues.
