Software Engr II
Key Responsibilities
* Develop front-end and back-end solutions using web technologies, such as NodeJS, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, AWS, Helm, Terraform, etc.
* Act as the technical lead and architect on complex projects
* Build microservices using Docker, Kubernetes and AWS.
* Effectively utilise tools such as JIRA, Bitbucket and Jenkins
* Work cross-functionally with other engineers, designers and product managers to solve complex customer and business problems
* Foster team development by reviewing work and providing constructive feedback
* Apply and promote high-quality engineering practices
* Provide relative estimates for the development effort, validate, and improve continuously.
* Provide operational support and respond to production alarms
* Participate in process design and provide input to development planning
* Demonstrate ability to plan and organize complex technical projects
* Ensure timely delivery of milestones and facilitate others in their ability to do so as well
Key Experience & Capabilities
* Extensive practical experience developing software solutions in a comparable software stack
* Strong JavaScript background in web applications and Node.js
* Experience working on complex developments and mentoring less experienced engineers
* Strong Backend development skills using JavaScript in NodeJS
* Front End development skills using TypeScript and/or JavaScript and a modern framework such as React or Vue
* Solid understanding of security, web standards and architecture
* Strong principles of software design and architecture
