Position: Management Accounting & Financial Analysis – Talent Register Division : Business Services. Position No: Pool Ref COM28225. Salary: Level 2 to Level 6, $76,912 – $132,753 per annum pro‑rated + superannuation. Work Types: Permanent – Part Time, Permanent – Full Time, Fixed Term – Full Time, Fixed Term – Part Time. Our Management Accounting & Financial Analysis team provide a range of services including: coordination of budget processes, development of budget statements, parliamentary estimates preparation, management of internal budgets, provision of financial information for key performance indicators, financial analysis and advice on budgeting and forecasting, and internal financial reporting.
Responsibilities
* Assist and support the Branch with the preparation of financial reports, budget routines, and procurement activity.
* Prepare and assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reports and statutory returns, perform budget analysis, and provide financial management services to designated directorates.
* Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reports (including the Annual Report and State Budget Papers), monitor budgets, and maintain financial costing models for services.
* Provide administrative support to the Manager and project team to support successful project delivery and collaborate with other teams.
* Prepare monthly financial report packages and analyse major variances with appropriate strategies.
* Ensure the integrity of budget information and assist in the annual budget development and quarterly review process.
* Prepare and monitor budgets, develop and maintain reports including the Executive Management Report.
* Coordinate and prepare monthly reporting, annual financial statements, review monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations, and develop and maintain policies consistent with government policies and accounting standards.
