Kyabram District Health Service (KDHS) is a medium-sized rural health service that delivers a range of programs and services including acute, subacute, residential aged care and allied and primary health care services. KDHS has three campuses located in the townships of Kyabram, Stanhope and Tongala.

About The Role

Our Community Care Workers provide a range of high quality services aimed providing support and assistance to people living in their own homes in their day-to-day living, ensuring that they have maximum opportunity for developing valued and valuing lifestyles. They will provide opportunities for choice, self-advocacy and participation in matters relating to the home as well as facilitating access to community services and facilities. To support client with all aspects of everyday living – personal care, washing, cleaning, laundry, preparing and cooking meals and shopping.

About You
* Certificate III or IV in Individual Support/Disability or equivalent.
* Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries
* Experience working with people with disability of all ages.
* Ability to perform all tasks safely, autonomously and unsupervised with vulnerable persons.
* Ability to actively listen and to communicate sensitively and effectively with people with disability.
* Current First Aid (Level II)
* Current Drivers License & Comprehensive Car Insurance
* Be able to demonstrate KDHS values of Collaborative, Accountable, Versatile, Caring, Inclusive.
* Computer skills
