One of our clients, Unanderra Mower Centre based in Unanderra, NSW, is looking for an expert, skilled and motivated person to join their small team.
This position is a full-tile role for Small Engine Mechanic.
About Role: Maintains, tests and repairs engines of chainsaws, lawn mowers, garden tractors and other equipment with small engines.
Registration or licensing may be required.
Eligibility Criteria
AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training or AQF Certificate IV.
Or at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications mentioned above.
At least 2-3 years' or more experience in related field
This role is for Australian Citizen and Permanent Residents and overseas professionals with appropriate skills and English language competency.

Tasks Include
Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines, transmissions, and related components using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
Dismantle and inspect engines, steering mechanisms, and other components to locate damage, wear, or defects.
Repair or replace damaged and malfunctioning parts, ensuring all replacements meet manufacturer and safety standards.
Reassemble engines and mechanical systems after repairs, checking alignment, lubrication, and secure fitting of components.
Conduct scheduled maintenance services such as oil and filter changes, lubrication, and engine tuning to maintain performance and reduce emissions.
Test repaired engines and parts to ensure proper functionality, adjusting systems for optimal operation and performance.
Use computerized diagnostic equipment to assess and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
Inspect vehicles to determine roadworthiness, preparing reports or advising on necessary repairs for compliance.
Respond to vehicle breakdowns by diagnosing issues on-site and carrying out minor repairs or arranging further servicing when required.
Salary - $76,000 - $80,000 plus super. Only eligible and shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
