About the Role
Are you an organised and proactive administrative professional looking for your next challenge? The Intermediate Stay Mental Health Unit (ISMHU) is seeking a motivated Administration Officer to provide vital administrative and clerical support. In this role, you'll help ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Unit by providing high-quality administrative assistance to nursing, allied health, and medical staff, as well as supporting patients, families, and carers. You'll play an important part in helping the team deliver excellent care within a compassionate, structured, and professional environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Deliver a range of administrative and clerical support services to ensure the smooth operation of the Unit.
Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to nursing, allied health, and medical staff.
Support communication between staff, patients, and families with professionalism and compassion.
Manage general enquiries, record keeping, and data entry with accuracy and attention to detail.
Assist in scheduling, documentation, and coordination of ward activities.

You're an organised, approachable, and detail-oriented professional who enjoys being part of a collaborative team. You're proactive in your work, handle sensitive information with care, and bring a calm and supportive presence to your workplace.

Proven experience in administrative or clerical roles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in computer systems and confidence in learning new programs.
