With several upcoming metropolitan projects being awarded, we are experiencing continued growth and are seeking experienced Senior Contracts Administrators to join our civil project delivery teams. In this role, you will be responsible for the effective commercial and contractual management of projects, including contract preparation, cost control, progress claims, variations, and subcontractor engagement. This position offers the opportunity to work on significant civil projects within a collaborative, high‐performing, and professional team environment.
Qualifications
* Tertiary Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or similar suitable qualifications
* Proven experience as a Senior Contracts Administrator (or similar role) within the civil sector
* A strong understanding of contractual and practical risks impacting the delivery of major infrastructure projects
* A detailed understanding of earthmoving plant and equipment including productivities and utilisation RATES
* Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
* A strong understanding of project financial management and month end reporting
* Proficiency in data entry and documentation
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Responsibilities
* Managing the commercial and contractual functions of the project in a timely and efficient manner
* Ensuring consistent application of the company's commercial policies and procedures
* Management of head contract requirements for project delivery
* Management of subcontract claims, payment applications and contractual deliverables
* Overseeing cost engineering, including cost reporting and financial forecasting
* Preparation and negotiation of monthly head contract progress claims for completed works
* Preparation and negotiation of head contract variation and extension of time claims
* Assisting with the preparation and issue of RFQs (Requests for Quotation) for subcontractors and suppliers
* Leading negotiations with shortlisted subcontractors and suppliers and preparing formal contract documentation
* Preparation and submission of monthly commercial report to company executives
* Preparation and issue of monthly client reports
* Training and development of staff in commercial and contract administration
