Mining Laboratory Assistant
Roster: 5:2– FIFO Perth (Fly in Monday Morning, Fly Home Friday afternoon)
About Us
Meeka Metals Limited (ASX:MEK) owns and operates Western Australia's newest gold mine – the Murchison Gold Project, located 50 km north of Meekatharra.
The project comprises both open pit and underground mining, with an initial mine life of 9 years. Gold production commenced in July 2025 and site activities are rapidly ramping up.
We are seeking a Lab Assistant to support the site lab each week.
About the Role
The role will assist in reliable, efficient and accurate analysis of grade control and processing samples on a day to day basis, including:
* Prepare samples for XRF using the portable XRF machine.
* Report results as they are generated.
* Support the mine with other tasks as required such as the core yard and sample processing
* Effectively communicating between laboratory, metallurgy and geology departments.
* Maintaining of operational safety equipment.
The position is offered on an attractive 5 days on / 2 days off roster, FIFO ex-Perth.
About You
You will be a motivated individual with some familiarity in a laboratory environemnt:
* Keen to learn, grow and be part of a team.
* Certificate IV in laboratory techniques is desirable, but not essential.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Computer literacy skills are required (excel, email)
* A current manual Australian Driver's licence.
* Current (less than 6 months old) National Police Clearance.
