About the Role
Cabrini Health is seeking a skilled Cook to join our Food Preparation team on a Casual basis. The successful candidate will prepare bulk, nutritionally balanced food for patients and functions in our large kitchen.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a commercial or bulk cooking environment and possess excellent organisational skills and reliability. They will also be required to work weekends, public holidays, Christmas and the New Year period, as rostered.
This role offers flexibility with multiple casual shifts available between Monday and Sunday, including early morning starts from 5:30AM and late evening finishes up to 8:00PM.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing bulk high-quality and nutritionally balanced food and beverages efficiently and according to requirements.
* Assisting with the general operation of the kitchen.
* Stock control management and ordering.
* Quality control and meeting food safety (HACCP) requirements.
* Liaising with healthcare professionals in regard to patient dietary needs.
Requirements:
* A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
* A Food Handlers Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
* Recent experience in a commercial or bulk cooking environment.
* A positive attitude and professional manner with the ability to work well under pressure.
* Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards.
* Excellent organisational skills and reliability.
