Legal Practitioners Funds Management Committee
The Legal Practitioners Funds Management Committee (the Committee) is a body corporate established under the Legal Profession Act 2006 to manage the Legal Practitioners Fidelity Fund.
The functions of the Committee are to:
* manage the Legal Practitioners Fidelity Fund;
* decide on the annual contribution and levies;
* make recommendations to the Attorney-General; and
* arrange insurance of the Fidelity Fund.
The Attorney-General's Department is currently inviting expressions of interest for the member representing the interests of consumers of legal services position on the Committee.
Members are appointed for terms of up to two years and may be re appointed upon the conclusion of each term.
