About the Company
Quantum Civil Pty Ltd is a growing civil construction company delivering high-quality infrastructure and earthworks projects across Melbourne, Geelong and regional VIC. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Surveyor to join our team and support projects from site establishment through to completion.
Role Overview
The Surveyor will be responsible for field surveying, machine control setup and support, and drafting of survey and construction data. This role is critical in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and quality across our civil construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform field surveying for civil construction works including set-out, as-built surveys, volumes, and verification
* Establish and maintain survey control on site
* Set up, manage, and support machine control systems (GPS / GNSS)
* Prepare machine guidance files and provide ongoing support to operators
* Prepare and update survey and construction drawings
* Draft plans, surfaces, alignments, and as-built documentation
* Liaise with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors
* Ensure all survey work complies with project specifications and quality standards
Skills & Experience Required
* Qualification in Surveying or a related field
* Proven experience in civil construction surveying
* Strong field surveying skills using total stations and GPS equipment
* Experience with machine control systems
* Competency in drafting software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
* Valid driver's licence
Desirable
* Experience in earthworks, roads, or infrastructure projects
* Knowledge of volume calculations and data management
* Familiarity with QA and construction documentation processes
