OverviewThe RoleAs an Infrastructure Engineer, you will work with the Infrastructure lead to implement, and support Microsoft 365 and cloud-based infrastructure across our national network of clinics and hubs.
Reporting directly to the Infrastructure Lead, you will provide advanced technical expertise in Microsoft 365 administration, security, and implementation.
Your work will ensure a robust, secure, and scalable environment that empowers our therapy and administrative teams to deliver exceptional services to our clients.
ResponsibilitiesDeploy, support and manage Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, Azure AD, etc.).
Provide support for complex incidents and escalations, acting as the final point of contact for Microsoft 365 and related infrastructure issues.Perform maintenance and proactive checks to ensure the security, uptime and overall health of the environment.Support and mentor junior members of the team, sharing technical knowledge and contributing to a collaborative team environment.Collaborate with stakeholders to assess business needs and translate them into technical solutions within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.Ensure compliance with security policies, data protection regulations, and industry best practices such as the ASD Essential 8.Maintain and update technical documentation, knowledge bases, and training materials for both IT staff and end users.Participate in projects to improve, upgrade, or optimise Microsoft 365 and related infrastructure.Work closely with the Infrastructure Lead to align technical initiatives with organisational strategy and priorities focussed on the Therapy business.
Technical SkillsAdvanced administration of Microsoft 365 workloads, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and Intune MDM/MAM.Entra: Advanced user and group management, conditional access policies, identity protection, SSO, MFA, and role-based access control.Experience with Microsoft 365 security and compliance features (eDiscovery, DLP, retention, auditing, Secure Score).
Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and bulk administration tasks.Understanding of the ASD Essential 8 and related Conditional Access Policies.Experience with troubleshooting and resolving complex issues across multiple Microsoft 365 workloads.Ability to stay current with Microsoft 365 roadmap updates and implement current features as appropriate.Demonstrated experience supporting network infrastructure within an enterprise environment, including UTM appliances, switching infrastructure and WiFi.
