About the Role
The Maintenance System Manager is a
12-month fixed term
role responsible for the design, delivery and ongoing maintenance of Energy Solutions' Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) at Ampol. The role ensures Energy Solutions assets are supported by effective, scheduled maintenance plans that drive high reliability and asset uptime. Acting as the CMMS subject matter expert, the role integrates new assets and systems while maintaining data integrity and system effectiveness. Strong collaboration with Asset Operations, Technical SMEs and project teams underpins continuous improvement across maintenance systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Own the design, delivery and ongoing maintenance of the Energy Solutions CMMS to support safe, reliable and efficient asset operations
* Ensure all Energy Solutions assets have approved maintenance plans configured and executed to schedule within the CMMS
* Integrate new assets, equipment and projects into Ampol FM, maintaining accurate asset registration, maintenance plans and data integrity
* Drive CMMS quality, auditing and continuous improvement, including system configuration enhancements and upgrade support
* Provide system governance, user support and site engagement to ensure the CMMS remains fit-for-purpose and aligned to operational needs.
About you
You are a reliability-focused maintenance professional with strong experience in planning, scheduling and CMMS administration within asset-intensive environments. You bring a practical, hands-on understanding of maintenance and asset management, combined with the ability to work across projects, operations and technical teams. You're known for your collaborative approach, curiosity and drive to continuously improve systems and processes. Safety, data integrity and asset uptime sit at the centre of how you work.
Skills and Attributes
* Strong experience in reliability, maintenance planning and scheduling within complex asset environments such as energy, electrical infrastructure, petroleum or chemical processing
* Advanced CMMS capability (SAP preferred), including system administration, asset registration, maintenance plan development and data quality management
* Proven ability to work across multiple teams and disciplines, providing trusted advice on asset management, maintenance strategies and system design
* A collaborative, improvement-driven mindset with strong stakeholder engagement, coaching and problem-solving skills
* Trade qualification (fitter/machinist or electrical/instrument with cross-trade exposure) and/or tertiary qualification in engineering or a related discipline desirable not essential
