We are seeking a reliable, dedicated and hard working individual to join our team.
Family modern dairy farm, 60 stand rotary, auto cup removers, robotic teat spray, currently in milking 300 cows, however we get to 800 cows at peak.
We are due to start calving season in May.
As a milking technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health & productivity of our herd while maintaining efficiency of the milking process.
Key responsibilities:
* Milking 800 cows (at peak) in our 60 stand rotary
* Monitoring the health & well being of cows, including identifying signs of illness or discomfort.
* Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the milking equipment & milking area (including hosing down & use of the yard blasters).
Qualifications
-Previous experience in a fast paced milking operation
* Excellent time management and communication skills
* Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
* Reliable & puntual
* Flexibility to cover Am or Pm shifts
* Ability to work independently in shed once confident (owners always close by feeding out or calf rearing) and part of a team.
Above award rates, rates will be dependent on experience and choice or casual/part time or full time.
