Our client based in East Perth is looking for an Executive Officer for a temporary period. This is a great opportunity to work within a government department.
**Your new role**
Looking for someone to provide an efficient administrative, secretarial, and executive support service to the Managing Director Corporate Services. As an Executive Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Provide a proactive, flexible, and responsive executive and secretarial support service to the Managing Director and the Office of the Managing Director team.
- Efficiently and effectively coordinates and manages the diary of the Managing Director
- Preparation of agendas, taking minutes, and recording action items.
- Coordinates and organises travel arrangements including itineraries, accommodation, and stakeholder meetings on behalf of the Managing Director
- Liaises with and maintains effective relationships and networks with government agencies, the private sector and non-government organisations and other external stakeholders.
- Provides consistent high-level support, including processing credit card acquittals, while always maintaining confidentiality and discretion
- Undertakes research, analysis, and project support.
- Provides support where required, in the coordination and preparation of ministerial, parliamentary, cabinet requests and government business documents and responses.
- Assists with key project activities including researching, collating information coordinating submissions, reports, briefings, and Executive requests.
- Any other duties as required.
**What you'll need to succeed**
Experience in the similar position required but also:
- Previous experience in providing administrative and secretarial support at a senior executive level, including the ability to prepare high quality written reports and briefing papers with attention to detail.
- Ability to build effective relationships
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop practical and innovative solutions to problems
- Well-developed conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Well-developed Organisational and prioritising skills, with the ability to meet competing deadlines and work under pressure with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and contributes to the achievement of team goals
