We are excited to have launched a brand current skate shop in Newcastle and the Central Coast, Skate Warehouse! The new business will exist side by side with Roller Derby Heaven in our shop in Morisset, NSW. We are looking for a store manager to help Skate Warehouse/Roller Derby Heaven manage the day to day operations, with the support of the owners.

At it's core, Roller Derby Heaven is a grass roots skate shop that has helped bring roller and inline skating to Australians for over 30 years. In all its time, RDH has supported skate culture and roller derby by providing the worlds best brands, such as Riedell, Antik, Suregrip, Moxi, Powerslide, USD and so many more, all of which are available in store at our shop and warehouse in Morisset, NSW. Roller Derby Heaven has been heavily involved in the roller derby community, and continues to be a premium supplier of skates and protective gear, and continues to grow and expand into more areas of skate. With the inception of Skate Warehouse, we can now expand our efforts into all areas of skate and share our love and passion for skating with skateboard and scooter.

As a family owned business and a group of skaters ourselves, we place value in individualality, teamwork, authenticity, and adaptability. For this role we desire someone that is able exceed expectations, and have an eager willingness to learn. You will be supported by training in all areas of the business, including product knowledge. We are willing to offer a casual or a part time position, with the pay based on the skills and experience of the successful applicant. The recent manager will receieve a full handover from the current staff, who will still exist within the business in a supporting role.

**The role**:
As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day to day operations. In this role, you will lead from the front, providing an exceptional and memorable experience for our customers through your outstanding product knowledge, customer service and ability to offer solutions to fitting queries and product selection. You will also work with the owners to deliver on business objectives and key success indicators.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Ensure the shop is open and ready to be shopped by our customers
- Managing the movement of stock to reduce shrinkage and optimise sales
- Filing and tidying the shopfloor and getting the store set up for promotions and sales.
- Work closely with the owners to deliver on performance objectives set for the shop and online store with respect to the retail KPIs
- Maintain high standards of store presentation including keeping the shopfloor and stock room neat and tidy.
- Demonstrate strong product knowledge and be able to research and describe product features and benefits.
- Recommend, select, and help locate product based on customer needs or desires.
- Run shifts as required including opening and closing the store premises, cash handling and maintaining store security.
- Support the owners by assisting with the execution of assigned tasks in line with business expectations.
- Managing and helping grow the stores website, with search engine optimisation (SEO) enhancement, and web development
- Vinyl cutting and pressing for team shirts - training provided
- Manage and post on social media accounts

**What we are looking for**:

- Minimum 2 year experience in a customer-service role.
- Experience with the operational supervision of a store highly desirable.
- Experience using and managing ecommerce systems, such as Shopify i.e web development
- A strong focus on delivering outstanding customer service
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task to provide service for multiple customers and online enquiries
- An energetic and enthusiastic approach to store operations and a personable approach with customers.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $34.48 - $42.18 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
