About the Role
* Produce accurate preliminary and sketch designs for single and double-storey residential homes in line with company standards and client briefs.
* Prepare drawings suitable for planning and prestart stages, ensuring alignment with NCC, R-Codes, shire requirements, and developer covenants.
* Work closely with internal admin, design, and estimating teams to achieve timely and high-quality client outcomes.
* Liaise with engineers, energy assessors, and surveyors to coordinate and confirm design information.
* Manage design amendments and revisions resulting from client feedback or compliance requirements.
* Maintain accurate documentation while meeting internal lead-time expectations.
About You
* Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in all design documentation.
* Solid understanding of NCC, Residential Design Codes, and relevant Australian Standards.
* Ability to interpret DAPs, LDPs, and structural information.
* Good knowledge of residential construction methods and buildability.
* Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
* Confident producing clear, buildable sketch and preliminary designs.
* Self-motivated and comfortable working independently or within a small team.
