We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Commercial Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving sales, procurement, and market expansion within the coffee industry. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, deep market insight, and the ability to build and maintain client relationships while aligning with global business strategies.
Reports to: Managing Director
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Market Development
* Drive sales growth by identifying new customers and opening new markets.
* Ensure achievement of sales targets and contribute to the company's growth rate.
* Set up promotional, marketing, and educational events with target clients across Australia.
Client Relationship Management
* Nurture, grow, and expand the client base through industry experience, prior relationships, and marketing initiatives.
* Maintain strong communication and engagement with clients to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Strategic Planning & Market Research
* Conduct market analysis and propose tailored business strategies for different regions.
* Align market strategies with the global development plan of the company.
* Monitor daily market exposure and make informed decisions to support trading strategies.
Procurement & Origin Coordination
* Oversee purchasing activities in collaboration with origin teams.
* Establish purchase plans aligned with global strategy and optimize global P&L.
* Follow up on shipment schedules and ensure smooth business execution.
Quality Assurance
* Participate in daily cuppings and other QA-related activities to maintain product standards.
Risk Management
* Monitor client drawdown paces, shipment schedules, and ensure timely payments.
* Mitigate risks by maintaining close communication with clients and origin teams.
Additional Responsibilities
* Support general office operations and logistics for incoming shipments.
* Collaborate with internal teams to set up and manage various strategic projects.
* Contribute ideas, suggestions, and market intelligence to support global growth initiatives
* Proven experience in sales, procurement, and strategic planning within the coffee industry.
* Strong analytical and market research capabilities.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environments, contributing to cross-functional collaboration and shared goals.
