We are seeking a Despatch Forklift Operator to join a well-established timber operation in Mount Gambier. This hands-on role involves safely loading trucks, managing accurate stock movements, and supporting despatch operations to deliver finished timber products in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
Monday to Friday:
• 5 x 8-hour shifts
• Day Shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm
• Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
Key Responsibilities
• Safely and efficiently load trucks with finished goods
• Ensure accurate stock movements and maintain stock rotation targets
• Adhere to all safety, environmental, and legislative requirements
• Follow despatch Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Participate in quarterly stocktakes and despatch-related training
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Respond to customer-related issues in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements
What We're Looking For
• Current High Risk Work Licence (LF – Forklift)
• Forklift operating experience (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks
• Good computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook or similar systems)
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to pass pre-employment checks
