**About the Role**:
Design Researchers play a critical role in our user-centered approach to design. We're hiring a Design Researcher to help liberate the power of the cloud, and build beautiful simple experiences that help businesses across the globe enhance their guest experience, manage their work and employees better, grow and become more compelling.

You'll play a central role in shaping our product experience, working as a true equal with Design, Engineering and Product across our squads with support from our Senior Design Researcher. This is a role where you will be empowered to have a significant impact.

**What You'll Do**:
As a Design Researcher, you will:

- Lead and execute comprehensive generative and evaluative user & design research
- User diverse methodologies to translate customer and end-user needs into actionable insights
- Guide design decisions and product development through research insights
- Manage research design, implementation, analysis and reporting

Impactful Projects:

- Work on industry-leading proucts
- Drive both big and small projects independently with support from senior members of the team
- Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers and our Senior Design Researcher
- Identify opportunities, take ownership and drive projects to completion

Collaboration & Support:

- Effective communication with colleagues and cross-functional teams
- Assist colleagues with research when needed
- Contribute to building a strong research culture
- Help improve research skills of designers and PM's through feedback and guidance

Skillset and Methodologies:

- Evangelize User Research best practices
- Promote Design Thinking Methodology
- Communicate best practices to cross-functional teams
- Foster a culture of learning and improvement in research and design practices

**About You**:

- You have a solid understanding of primary research methodologies such as interviews, diary studies, participatory design, ethnography, surveys, usability testing, and know what method to use and when to use it. Translate user behaviors and research findings into clear insights and actionable recommendations, opportunities, and guiding principles.
- Experience leading both generative and evaluative user and design research studies. Including planning, participant recruiting/scheduling, executing, analyzing, and delivery of results.
- You approach your work with a spirit of partnership and collaboration, not exclusion or rigidness. You're a resourceful problem solver; you can feel for gaps in what you're working on, pitch solutions and implement them.
- Experience creating empathy artifacts like service blueprints, system maps, customer journeys, and archetypes. These artifacts help your team members and other stakeholders understand the people we are designing for.
- You thrive in a fast paced work environment that requires outstanding problem-solving skills and autonomy. You possess a strong bias for action, consistently driven to accomplish tasks and goals.
- We would like to hear examples of how your research influenced product and design team decision-making.
