About This Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Senior Research Project Officer to support ground-breaking research within the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Green Electrochemical Transformation of Carbon Dioxide (GETCO2), led by the School of Chemical Engineering. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in enabling high‑quality research outcomes by supporting the full research project lifecycle, working closely with the GETCO2 Director, Chief Operations Officer and a highly collaborative Centre operations team. Key responsibilities will include: Coordinating aspects of the research project lifecycle, including planning, delivery, monitoring and evaluation, to support the successful completion of research projects. Providing high‑level research project and administrative support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones and deliverables, and preparing reports, graphs, figures and presentations on research performance. Assisting with the development of research grant applications and ensuring projects comply with agreed research methodologies, policies and procedures. Supporting Centre operations through maintenance of databases and records, coordination of research seminars and workshops, promotion of research activities, and provision of secretariat support to committees and program leaders. This is a full‑time, fixed‑term position for up to 2 years at HEW Level 6. About You A relevant technical degree with subsequent experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education or training. Demonstrated experience in research administration and/or project management, with sound knowledge of research policies and procedures or the ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge. Advanced skills in computer applications, including word processing, data management and spreadsheets. Experience using university reporting systems and granting body systems such as RMS. Proven ability to produce high‑quality reports and scientific communications, with excellent attention to detail. Well‑developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and maintain confidentiality. Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills, with the capacity to prioritise, meet deadlines and work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Interested?
