Role Summary
The Principal Advisor will play a pivotal role in promoting integrity and upholding ethical standards throughout the Northern Territory Public Sector. The primary objective of this position is to conduct unbiased grievance reviews, chair the Public Sector Appeals Board, deliver comprehensive training on recruitment practices and workplace behaviour, contribute to policy development that strengthens integrity, and provide expert guidance to both agencies and employees.
This role requires demonstrated experience, knowledge, and skill in handling complex complaints, integrating alternative dispute resolution techniques, leading high-level decision-making processes, and showcasing strategic thinking alongside a sound understanding of employment legislation and natural justice.
Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain positive relationships and influence outcomes, are essential for success in this position.
