Cardiac Services at Townsville University Hospital are seeking an experienced Executive Support Officer to join their team, in a temporary full-time role.
About the opportunity
Provide high quality administrative support to the Cardiac Medical Officers within Surgical Service Group to support the effective delivery of management services.
This is a temporary full-time, 15/06/2026 - 11/05/2027, with a possibility of an additional 12 months extension.
Role requirements
* Whilst not mandatory, previous experience in an Executive Support or Executive Assistant role would be highly desirable.
* This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.

* Salary range: $3038.50 - $3379.10 p.f. (AO3)
* 4 weeks annual leave (pro rata) with 17.5% loading
* Locality allowance
* 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
* Demonstrated high standard of administrative and secretarial skills and ability to prepare complex documents and draft replies to correspondence demonstrating advanced computer skills utilising appropriate software.
* Demonstrated ability in meeting management including minutes, agendas and monitoring of actions from meetings.
* Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to plan and priorities workloads with competing deadlines whilst working autonomously.
* Demonstrated skills in the use of work processing and spreadsheet applications and hospital information systems including s4Hana, Springboard, myHR as well as an ability to acquire knowledge of other computer applications and databases.
* Possession of advanced interpersonal and oral communication skills, incorporating the skills of tact to liaise and consult with all levels of the private and public sector and to respect clients' confidentiality and interests.
* Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment.
