The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the civil construction industry, its legislative framework, and Australian Standards. You will also possess excellent communication and time management skills, as well as a valid 'C' class Australian driver's licence.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects. This will involve managing contractors, liaising with consultants, and ensuring compliance with relevant Acts, Regulations, local laws, policies, and codes.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of civil projects, from infrastructure development to building construction. You will be responsible for developing and implementing project plans, monitoring progress, and reporting to senior management.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* A degree or diploma in a relevant field, such as project management, construction management, or engineering;
* Proven experience in project management, including experience in managing contracts, budgets, and timelines;
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders;
* Experience in risk management and quality assurance;
* A valid 'C' class Australian driver's licence.

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and deliver civil projects to agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards;
* Develop and implement project plans, including risk management and quality assurance strategies;
* Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and government agencies;
* Monitor and report on project progress, including financial performance and resource utilization;
* Ensure compliance with relevant Acts, Regulations, local laws, policies, and codes.
Selection Criteria:
1. Well-developed administrative and practical experience specifically in civil construction;
2. Demonstrated experience in managing contractors and liaising with consultants;
3. Experience with financial management of projects covering budgeting, cost control, and reporting requirements;
4. Experience in the production of high-quality tender documents such as project scopes, specifications, contracts, and estimates;
5. Strong written and interpersonal skills, particularly verbal communication;
6. Strong consultation and negotiation skills with the ability to engage an array of internal and external stakeholders;
7. Competent in implementation of and reviewing Work Health and Safety practices and documentation;
8. Ability to understand relevant Acts, Regulations, local laws, policies, and relevant codes;
9. Current 'C' class Australian driver's licence;
10. Degree/Diploma or Trade qualification relevant to the position or project management.
