Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive
Supply Chain Manager
to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain processes, from sourcing and procurement to distribution and delivery. You will work closely with vendors, logistics teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure that products are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities:
* Supply Chain Strategy & Planning:
Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies to meet business needs, enhance operational efficiency, and minimize costs.
* Vendor Management:
Manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure that vendors meet performance standards related to quality, delivery, and cost.
* Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring optimal stock levels, minimizing excess inventory, and reducing stockouts to meet customer demand.
* Logistics & Distribution:
Coordinate logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers. Monitor transportation and distribution to improve efficiency and reduce delays.
* Forecasting & Demand Planning:
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to forecast demand, plan supply chain activities, and ensure product availability.
* Process Improvement:
Identify areas for improvement in the supply chain and implement process changes to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.
* Data Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze supply chain data, including inventory levels, shipment performance, and vendor performance, to drive informed decision-making. Provide regular reports to management on key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Budget & Cost Control:
Manage supply chain budgets, monitor costs, and ensure that supply chain activities stay within financial guidelines.
* Risk Management:
Assess potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate issues related to disruptions, delays, or external factors (e.g., regulatory changes, natural disasters).
* Compliance & Regulations:
Ensure that supply chain processes comply with local and international regulations, including customs and import/export laws.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree
in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* Proven experience in supply chain management
or a similar role, with a strong understanding of logistics, procurement, and inventory management.
* Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
to build strong relationships with suppliers and partners.
* Strong analytical skills
with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
* Knowledge of supply chain software and tools
, such as SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems.
* Solid understanding of logistics operations
including transportation, distribution, and warehousing.
* Exceptional communication skills
to liaise effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners.
* Leadership abilities
to manage and develop teams, drive performance, and ensure alignment with company goals.
* Ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with international supply chains
and global sourcing.
* Certifications in supply chain management
(e.g., APICS, CSCP, CPSM).
* Knowledge of lean principles
and continuous improvement strategies.
* Familiarity with sustainability practices
in supply chain management.
* Experience in demand forecasting and inventory optimization
